Our Story
by Daniel Benítez Gómez
The story of ZRILLER intertwines with my own journey in such a way that it’s impossible to tell one without the other. So, here I share the key moments that led to the creation of a studio whose games will soon be a part of your lives. It's a promise.
It all began to take shape in 2018 with the launch of the indie video game "Crossing Souls," published by Devolver Digital on all platforms and consoles worldwide. This title, of which I am co-creator, found a place in the hearts of thousands of players and was positively received by critics, achieving success that still resonates in the indie scene.
Regarding my life, it changed forever. I fell in love with what I consider the ultimate artistic medium for narrating and experiencing stories: video games.
After "Crossing Souls," I co-founded the pixel art entertainment brand, Mucho Pixels. Also, I conducted online courses teaching this technique on the Domestika platform. I call this period my “pixelated” era, for obvious reasons. Both the Mucho Pixels brand and the courses are tremendously well-received by the gamedev community.
At this point, I began to receive numerous commissions to develop video games, and it became evident that a talented, multidisciplinary team was needed to bring them all to completion, or more appropriately, to 'Gold Master' status. Indeed, this is where the team behind ZRILLER was born.
This period was a time of collaborations and fascinating projects with industry giants like Google, Cartoon Network, Gamee, and Netflix. Together, we brought more than 25 games to life and gained the experience that is now crucial to our success. All that was needed was a name, in uppercase letters, that would encapsulate the achievements of the journey and set our gaze on the horizon.
That name is ZRILLER.
Now, with a clearer and more determined vision than ever, we are heading towards the next milestones of our particular adventure, working hand in hand with clients from all over the world, and creating video games that exceed the expectations of creators, clients, and players.
Moreover, with the development of our own original projects, we are firmly convinced that the grand chapter of our story is yet to be written. It will be an honor for me to make you protagonists in it.
Take good care,
Daniel Benítez
